My career’s journey began after obtaining an associates degree in Liberal Arts and an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Cal State San Bernardino. I then ventured off to find more meaning and purpose in my own life, leading me into the field of social work.
I attended the University of Southern California, where I obtained a Masters degree in Social Work, with a concentration in mental health and focus on military social work. I was honored with working with military personnel in multiple arenas, which is a population that I hold near and dear to my heart.
During this time, I was also graced with the opportunity to counsel in a private practice setting, providing treatment to teens for a number of years while in CA. I then found myself gaining additional and versatile experience in the field when working as an individual and group therapist for an inpatient addiction treatment center in CA, followed by the role of dialysis medical social worker and social work supervisor in both CA and WA State. My journey then enlisted me as a therapist at a local community-based mental health agency in Idaho, where I currently reside.
I am convinced that I live in the most beautiful location in the world, to which I credit much of my mental wellness and emotional freedom. I very much appreciate the outdoors due to it's overwhelming medicinal properties and beauty. I enjoy running, painting, renovating, crafting, and spending time with my family and
small herd of Blue Heelers.
